Remote Control Productions wished to develop their commercial office space into a post production campus. A venture to create a community of sound rooms that would overflow into a handful of adjacent structures. The design development team was tasked with maximizing the functional footprint and creating isolated and impervious sound rooms.

Each composer's suite contains an inner 'shell' of isolated spaces, including a central production work space, iso booths, assistant work spaces, and a secure rack closet. We detailed a floating slab to conceal the necessary conduit and eliminate reverberation from the foundation up. Soft walls line all interior surfaces, and are oriented to diffuse infiltrating sound waves. Above each work desk an insulated ceiling cloud with a negative slope optimizes refraction of both sound and light waves.
